Welt Pockets with Claudia Gallo
Having always loved the look of welt pockets, I decided to give it a go, about some number of years ago. Through trial and error I discovered that they are not as difficult as they seem to be, but do require patience and skill. There are a number of variations and construction methods which can be utilized and they add a nice detail to your garment.
Join me in this class and I will take you through the different ways in which to construct them. You will be working on samples, so bring the following:
Your machines with attachments, especially the zipper foot
Accessories (i.e. thread, scissors, needles, seam rippers, etc.)
Fabric scraps (solids and prints)
Short zippers 5” long (optional but a fun way to accent)
Seam gauge (very important) & a ruler.
